CNDA and our National Association working with PBS to create a Series on Naturopathic Medicine
Dear Friend of the CNDA,
We have some very exciting news!!
Our very own CNDA member, Dr. Shannon Sinsheimer, has been in discussions with Roland Perez from PBS about doing a 7 part series on Naturopathic Medicine to air on PBS in California and other markets. Roland Perez produces a show called American Health Journal which currently airs in 158 cities across the United States on Turners Healthy Living Channel and on PBS. His host, Roger Cooper, was just awarded an Emmy. Roland has just finished a three-part series on osteopathic medicine and has captured the imagination and universal support of his top 10 PBS stations around a naturopathic series. The naturopathic series will likely consist of (7) 30 minute shows for a 13 week season with reruns under the Banner of "Discovery in Alternative Medicine" hosted by PBS host Roger Cooper with a co-host.
Mr Perez has secured financial backing from PBS and some of their sponsors for the project but we most also make a financial contribution to the project. The CNDA's financial commitment is $10,000. For that, we retain ownership rights after the show has aired that will allow us to extend the value of this show into DVDs and online marketing materials to teach more California's about the value of Naturopathic Medicine.
With this opportunity quickly upon us, the CNDA must raise $10,000 over the next month in order to commit to the project and help meet the anticipated schedule of shooting the series in January 2009.
